Wywiad z Tajem, w ktorym mowi o Jacksonie. /fragmenty/
Thijzzz: As we all know your uncle Michael was pleaded not guilty. What did you think of it? How did you celebrate? And, did you talk to him after the prediction?”
Taj: Um, ok I’m trying to think of the questions as I go. Um, I, you know of course we were very pleased with the verdict um, it was really hard living in America at the time because you know um, being in the inside and knowing the family and know my uncle and then to hear what the media was trying to paint him as and I think that was the hard thing, was, listening to the media every day, you know, whether it was through newspapers or TV’s or, they kind of painted their own picture of and uh, they also tried to um, how can I, I don’t know how to say it, but they also tried, they tried to influence the verdict I would say you know, in terms of – and they did a good job when it came to American public you know, in terms of trying to make him seem guilty in the public eye, and so that was hard for us because, you know we always knew our uncle was innocent.
Thijzzz: Were you behind CNN when you uh, when you heard the prediction was upcoming?
Taj: Were we watching CNN? Is that what you asked? (Thijzzz: Yeah, or,) Yeah, we were watching CNN at the time um we were actually, I was actually with my brothers at the ranch at that point, so, (Thijzzz: really?) Yes we were there.
Thijzzz: So uh, have you talked to Michael right after he came back from the prediction?
Taj: Yes.
Thijzzz: And was he completely outrageous by happiness or just tired and sad and –
Taj: I think, not tired and sad, but he was definitely tired. I would um, he was tired and he said that he wanted to take a break you know, from everything, which is what he is doing right now, you know just, you know get a way and focus on his family. And you know, I, I said “I totally agree with you. And I think that’s what you need to do” and that’s what he’s doing so I’m really happy for him.
Thijzzz: Yeah uh, I think the complete fan uh, fan world is ok with that to. Uh, you know we all live with him through this and you know we give him as long vacation as he like uh, I mean –
Taj: Yeah. I mean, I would like to say something though while I’m, I’m on with you. Um, I know cause I was there through the whole trial. I mean I wasn’t in front of the cameras or at court because we were at one point were um, scheduled to testify on his behalf, but in a, you know, so we weren’t allowed in court, but um, I would like to say that the fans – I know for sure um, that the fans are what kept him going throughout the court. And um, I’d like to thank you guys very much and I saw it first hand that you guys really made the difference so –
Thijzzz: I think uh, the fans are extremely happy to hear that.
Taj: I would, it’s the truth, you know I wouldn’t say it if it was otherwise.
Thijzzz: And there were so many activities by all the fanclubs, you know and, and, and support even and you know and we were – I think everyone was extremely, extremely happy that this all was over, you know.
Thijzzz: How was working with Michael?
Taj: It was great! I mean we worked with him on two different occasions for Why and I Need You, but Why basically umm, his vocals were already done on it, so it wasn’t uh, like um, as personal as the I Need You session that we had.
Taj: It, It’s just there’s nothing really like it. I mean, you know, I mean we had, we had seen him working on songs before on his, his, his stuff, but it doesn’t – you can’t really explain the feeling when he’s working on your stuff and he’s singing on your album and that’s what was the difference. We had seen him sing on his albums before, but when he was I Need You and we knew this was gonna be on our album that you know, it brought chills to us.
Thijzzz: Isn’t it weird for you Taj that uh you know Michael is kind of a hard to guy – you know what I mean? (Taj: huh?) It’s not easy to reach to him. Um, don’t you feel sometimes like “Hey, people might just be fan of me to get closer to Michael.” And isn’t it a strange feeling that you can pick up your mobile and give Michael a call while every fan in the world would die for his phone number or something.
Taj: Yeah. I mean, It’s really, that’s an interesting question because I think with us, I mean not only fans, but just our fr-people you know, call themselves our friends you, we’ve-we’ve always lived our whole life knowing that we were apart of the Jackson family, so we always had that you know that radar that said you know “Is this person trying to be friends with me because they like me or because they’re trying to get to our family?” And that’s always been, you know that’s always gonna be in the back of our minds in general that’s just how it is. It’s unfortunate that, that happens, but that’s just us. And so um, that’s how we live. And so um, you live with that and you understand how it works. But um, I mean in terms of calling him up and whatever I mean, I try not to abuse that! That privilege you know being able to call him up just out of the blue. But it is a great feeling just knowing that you know, I can get a hold of him and ask him questions about music and this and that. Ya-you know I think the better part of that is whenever I do call, he’s so excited to hear from me, so, that’s even better. You know, I don’t feel like I’m bothering him.
Thijzzz: I think the 3T’s are one of his favorite nephews?
Taj: Hehe – uh, we’re probably one of his closet nephews. I think he loves us all the same, but we’re definitely one of his, the closer ones.
Thijzzz: Um, then I have one other question, one personal question. Did you hear anything from the Katrina single? Are you – 3T involved with the single or have you heard it, or –
Taj: No, we haven’t heard it and we’re not involved with it, but I mean I wish my uncle the best of luck with it. Cause I know, I know him and I know he would rather take time on it and make it right than to release something just to release something. You know and so, I-I understand that you know, if he released it right away and it wasn’t up to par with what people were expecting, it would have got trashed before it even got you know was able on the in the on the radio. So –
Thijzzz: Do you think Michael is working on any next album plans or are there any future music plans?
Taj: That’s a good question. I mean, I, the last time I talked to him, you know he’s always said you know he’s relaxing and taking a break and this and that. And, but, it’s hard to say I mean, My uncle loves music I-and it’s part of him, so I-I know he won’t be able to like, you know, to stay away long ehhe.
Thijzzz: I can imagine Michael you know like thinking “I worked so long in the music career and look what they did to me. I just, just quit you know.”
Taj: Yeah, but when it’s in your blood, it’s in your blood and that’s the thing.
Taj: Uum, part of the tour. Not the whole tour jus-um, visiting and you know um, I think that was a great experience just because um, we got to learn about touring and we got to learn about per-uh, performanceship. And that was, you know I think it’s like learning from the master. We just sit and we watch and that’s what we got to do. And so it was just, it was, those were probably the greatest lessons for us. And kind of formed what 3T was like in terms of when we went out and toured.
Thijzzz: And whenever you uh, saw a concert, were you backstage or were you in front of the stage in on the sound tower or –
Taj: We did, when we saw a show, one of his shows, we – we actually tried to do a little of both, depending on the show, just so we could get everything. You know we could get what it was like ta-for the audience to see it. To see the audience’s reaction. Then we, you know some shows we went backstage and just watched backstage to see what went into the production, you know what it was all about backstage.
Thijzzz: So you’ve gotten use to it, right?
Taj: We’ve been on every tour pretty much. Haha. So the HIS- so you know, so, but yeah at the point, I think it was the Dangerous tour.
Thijzzz: Um, a lot of fans are, are asking questions about official concerts DVDs of Michael? There were even petitions uh, which you can even sign on the internet to, to release the BAD tour on DVD. Do you ever heard something of it, or do you know if Michael has that material or if there are any future plans with it?
Taj: foof, I have no idea. I would love to see it! I mean, I love to see any of his shows you know and so, that’d be great to see the BAD to- you know tour on DVD.
Thijzzz: A lot of fans, a lot of fans I mean everybody sa-saw the Dangerous tour to Bucharest and a lot of HIStory tours and the BAD tour is for everybody it’s a mystery you know. There are some snippets of it and there are some homemade videos of it, but ah, it would be the bomb to see it!
Taj: Yes it would be.
Thijzzz: But you, uh, it’s never like this. You are at Michael’s Neverland and he says “Hey uh, let’s get a BAD tour video and let’s watch it together” or something?
Taj: Na(laughs). I think whe-when we were with him, he doesn’t like watching his own stuff. I think he wants to like you know, it’s like that’s part – if he watches it you know, we’re all perfectionists, so when you watch something of yourself, you start picking apart it, you know you start going “Oh, I should have done this better!” Or “I could have done this better!” You know, you’re never completely satisfied and I know that with him, that would probably be the case. While he’s watching it, he’d probably be thinking about 10,000 things how he could have done it better, you know.
Thijzzz: Next question is from Rita Gibson. “Did you record any other songs with your Uncle Michael that has been never been released?”
Taj: Yes! But we can’t tell you which ones! – No (laughs) Yes, yes we have. We’ve had uh a couple songs that we’ve done with him. Um, some of them were gonna be on The Lost Album. But that’s all I can say, but because I-I- I don’t wanna tell you more cause they still might happen.
Thijzzz: Well, we are quite excited about it!
Taj: (Laughs)
Thijzzz: Yeah, I totally imagine. Lately Michael’s Neverland has gotten a negative publicity, but how did you experience Neverland?
Taj: Oh I love Neverland! And I always will love Neverland! Um, as much as the American public tries to, to make it seem like a bad place, I mean anyone that goes there, anyone that steps foot on there knows what Neverland is about. Knows who’s behind it. You know it’s, unfortunately he can’t take the whole world and show them Neverland you know um – but-but it’s a magical place and it always will be for me in my heart.
