Zastanawiałam się chwilę, czy założyć ten temat, ale niech będzie: a nuż okaże się prawdą? (oczywiście pomińmy milczeniem złośliwości tego tekstu i skupmy się na domniemanej trasie...)

Jacko May Tour to Pay Debts
There is nothing written in stone about this, so let’s not get crazy. But when certain stories come in, I have a mandate to tell you what’s happening.
During this four-day Led Zeppelin reverie in London, my sources report the following: Michael Jackson is in talks with AEG Live’s Randy Phillips to go on tour for three months from March through May 2008.
Of course, this could be a total unfounded rumor. I saw Phillips a couple of times through the whole Zepisode, but we never discussed this matter. When I put in an official call to him Tuesday, there was no response. He may have been returning to Los Angeles.
Phillips, now the head of AEG Live, was for a long time partnered with Arnold Stiefel managing Rod Stewart, among others. He’s a nice guy and much respected in the industry.

But a Michael Jackson tour? Set to begin in March? There are many problems with this scenario, including issues like insurance for Jackson, who has a habit of not making dates.
There’s also the matter of Jackson not being in shape, of no musicians, dancers, choreographers and no exact concept.
Right now, Jackson’s publicist and manager are the same person, Raymone Bain. It remains to be seen whether she would be capable of handling those duties during an actual tour. Perhaps Jackson’s recent photo shoots for Italian Vogue and Ebony along with white-washed stories were the precursors of such a notion.
But the real impetus for Jackson to tour now, even with little preparation, is money. He is so deeply in debt and at such a crisis point in his finances that he and Bain may be using potential proceeds from a tour as leverage for refinancing his $325 million in loans.
The refinancing was due on Dec. 1. Not only did it not happen, but Jackson is now in default on $300 million secured by his Neverland Ranch.
But this also begs the question about to whom Jackson is already promised for tours. German promoter Marcel Avram won a legal case against Jackson in 2005 and since claims to hold the rights to any world tours. Prince Abdulla of Bahrain is suing Jackson for $7 million and may also stake a claim against proceeds from a tour."

MJ - będzie w Londynie?
"Superstar MICHAEL JACKSON will follow in the footsteps of PRINCE and play a London residency next year (08), according to reports. The Thriller hitmaker is rumoured to be in negotiations with promoters AEG Live to organise a series of concerts to help settle outstanding debts of $325 million (GBP162.5 million). And Jackson is reportedly looking to emulate the Purple Rain singer's success when he played 21 dates at London's O2 Arena over the summer (07). A source tells British newspaper the Daily Star, "The general consensus is that Jacko has the fan base to attract enough gig-goers from all over the world to make this a huge success. "Booking the O2 up for more than a couple of nights might seem like a big gamble on his and his promoters' part, but just think of the history. People will flock to witness Jacko cover his back catalogue." And the promoters have further fuelled speculation about the London dates. AEG Europe's David Campbell says, "We have two big residencies booked for the fourth quarter of 2008."

A właściwie 42, bo były jeszcze aftershow.

Michael Jackson to play 02 Arena, London
Tuesday, 18 December 2007
Michael Jackson is to make a sensational comeback early in the new year – with a string of gigs at The O2 Arena.
The superstar is set to play “between seven and ten” dates in February, with an official announcement now said to be imminent.
A source close to the Thriller singer told thelondonpaper: “Details are being finalised as we speak. It will be a mini-residency at The O2, not like Prince’s 21 nights or anything but about seven to ten dates.
“It’ll be just him, his greatest hits and what is going to be the biggest gig of the year. Forget the Spice Girls, this is the comeback.”
The finer details of the deal are being thrashed out but insiders said contracts should be signed in days.
Tickets will then be released “quite quickly” after that. The dates will be slotted around other gigs already booked in for February, including the Strictly Come Dancing tour, The Smashing Pumpkins and Alicia Keys.
Next year the once Peter Pan-like king of pop turns 50.
And despite his troubles – including his trial on child abuse charges (of which he was acquitted in 2005), spiralling £160m debts, his increasingly bizarre appearance, and that infamous “baby dangling” moment – demand to see Jackson back in action will be sky high.
The O2 dates are likely to form part of a world tour but it is believed London will be his first stop-off. One music industry source said: “Over here, people are more forgiving. I think his British fans are a lot more tolerant.
“In spite of everything that’s happened with Jacko over the years, it will be brilliant. It will be as big as 21 nights of Prince, if not bigger.”
Jackson’s last live performance was a year ago at the World Music Awards in Earls Court. An O2 spokeswoman would not confirm the dates, saying: “We cannot comment on it at this time.”
